Cause:
The root cause of this is having high scaling settings in windows display options (175% scaling).
The server ID that IS visible in that window may also appear but may be missing a number of characters.
Resolution:
The user can override this by editing the DCE shortcut properties->compatibility mode->high dpi settings and selecting override scaling by system:
