PowerShelf PMC is showing a Yellow or Red Solid LED

Question:

PowerShelf PMC is showing a Yellow or Red Solid LED

Scenario:

The PMC LED may display solid yellow or solid red when the internal temperature measured at the PMC reaches the specified warning or critical temperature threshold.

The temperature used for this indication is measured by the temperature sensor located on the PMC board. Therefore, the PMC serves as the temperature source for this LED behavior.

Product Line:

SENVPS33KB2, SENVPS33KL-NP, SENVPS33KB3, SENVPMC002, SENVPMC003

Resolution:

PMC LED Behavior

  1. PMC LED Shows Solid YELLOW

    • Condition: Temperature Warning Threshold Reached
    • Temperature range: 60 °C < T < 70 °C or -25 °C < T < -5 °C
  2. PMC LED Shows Solid RED

    • Condition: Temperature Critical Threshold Reached
    • Temperature range: T > 70 °C or T < -25 °C

What temperature is being monitored?

The temperature indication is based on the internal temperature measured by the sensor located on the PMC board.

When the measured temperature reaches the warning threshold, the PMC LED turns solid yellow. When the measured temperature reaches the critical threshold, the PMC LED turns solid red.

Recommended Action : If the PMC LED indicates a temperature warning or critical condition, check and control the ambient temperature around the PowerShelf and verify the PMC temperature condition.
