Goals and Symptoms
When sending the .dcf meter template file into the meter using ION Setup, it will return an error message and say "Unable to download dcf(xml) file to a non-RMP device"
Causes and Fixes
Rapid Meter Programming (RMP) is not supported in ION7500RTU meters, hence the .dcf files can not be sent to the meter using ION Setup. Instead, simply paste the .fwn version of the meter template file using ION Setup. ION Setup will treat this fwn file the same as the .dcf file with meters that support RMP. Please see the template file attached.
