Issue
This Resolution explains that a documentation error exists in the "Advantys STB Standard Dual Port Ethernet Modbus TCP/IP Network Interface Module Applications Guide." The manual part number is EIO0000000051.03, 8-2013.
A Note on page 63 incorrectly states, "The IP address of each master controller must reside on the same network as the STBNIP2311 module”.

Resolution
There is no requirement for the Master Controller and the STBNIP2311 to be in the same subnet. However, if the two devices are in different subnets, the default gateway of each must be configured properly.
