The best procedure to follow to update Control Expert VX to VY with X<Y is to simply install the latest version without uninstalling the previous one.
This has several benefits :
1- Simpler and less time consuming
2- Keeps Hardware Catalog Manager library
3- Migrates the Topology Manager databases

The uninstallation process embedded within the setup of the latest version of Control Expert has been improved and is more robust.
