What is the purpose of the Ethernet 499TWD01100 communication module?
Please note that the Twido and Modicon M238 are obsolete.
Therefore, the new PLCs like the M221 or M241/M251/M262 could have ethernet already embedded so this additional device will not be needed.
The TwidoPort 499TWD01100 module is an easy-to-use Ethernet interface, designed for the Twido programmable controller, version 3.0 or later, compact or modular.
It enables the Twido controller to be integrated in an Ethernet network as a passive device (slave) .
Connected on the integrated RS 485 serial port of each compact or modular base, the TwidoPort interface module is a gateway between the Ethernet TCP/IP network and the Modbus serial link of the Twido controller.
The connection cable between the base and the TwidoPort module is supplied with the module.
It is also an Ethernet/Modbus Gateway for Modicon M238.
