Issue
Which registers hold the TMC2 analog cartridge status information in an M221 controller?

Product Line
Modicon M221

Environment
EcoStruxure Machine Expert Basic / SoMachine Basic - PLC configuration software

Resolution
The status/diagnostic information for TMC2 analog cartridges is held in one dedicated address per channel.
For inputs, the syntax is: %IWS0.x0y
For outputs, the syntax is: %QWS0.x0y
where x is the cartridge number, and y is the channel number in the cartridge.

For example if we have a TM221C40T (which can physically accommodate two cartridges) with TMC2AI2 and TMC2AQ2C modules, there are 4 addresses containing the statuses of each of the 4 channels:

First cartridge (TMC2AI2 - analog input):
%IWS0.100: first cartridge, channel 1
%IWS0.101: first cartridge, channel 2

Second cartridge (TMC2AQ2C - current analog output)
%QWS0.200: second cartridge, channel 1
%QWS0.201: second cartridge, channel 2
