How can I earth a surge arrester?

The earth terminal of a surge arrester is connected downstream.  The earth should be connected to the main earth bar of the enclosure, ensuring that the cable length does not exceed 50 cm. If the cable length exceeds 50 cm, the surge arrester earth must be connected to an intermediate earth bar located as close as possible to the surge arrester.
