What should I do when dry/cast resin transformer MV coil is off-centre and the wedges are loose?
The probable cause of this problems is impact during handling / transport, or incorrect transport conditions.
It is recommended that the supplier of the transformer is contacted immediately to arrange for technical review and specific advice - it may be necessary to carryout electrical tests on the transformer to ensure that the windings within the coil are not damaged.
The transformer serial number would be required to be provided to the supplier along with any supporting information available with regard to the cause of the coil movement.
