The Sepam protection relay samples at 36 samples per cycle to calculate true RMS values for displayed phase current and overload protection. It can analyzes up to the 17th harmonic. All other measurements and protection values are calculated from the fundamental RMS calculation. The fault recording displays (waveform capture) only 12 samples per cycle for the Series 20 and 40.
