With the Altivar 630/930 drives there are several ways that you can control the Run/Stop or other Input commands and the Speed control.
When testing or setting up a Variable Frequency Drive it is sometimes useful to test the Motor Drive combination from the HMI (Human Machine Interface) on the front of the drive.
The Local / Remote button is not configured by default.
For the local remote button to be active you need to do the following:
go to the complete settings menu > got to the command and reference menu > go down to the HMI command menu > you can select bump less or stop function.
( bump less means you can change from terminal control to HMI control without stopping the drive), where the stop selection means when you press the local remote button the drive stops and then you have to issue a new run command from the new control position.
Once this selection is made press enter to store and then press escape back to the main screen.
