Technical specification of ZigBee states that the range is between 10-100m (line-of-sight). However, this is the "laboratory environment" value and is greatly affected by a number of factors; interference, environment, obstacles etc..
It is generally accepted that the indoor transmission distance is 10-20m.
The strength of ZigBee and Wiser is in the meshing functionality - every wired (mains powered) ZigBee device acts as a range extender.
The whole ZigBee network is then automatically built in a way that guarantees strongest possible signal bonds between the devices.
This means that every wired device extends the overall signal coverage of the whole system!
Here's a snippet from the System User Guide (p. 17) that explains this concept nicely:
On one hand, negative properties of the environment might make it a lot less that those "ideal" 100m; on the other hand, the meshing mechanism makes the range much, much more.
