EcoStruxure Machine Expert - How to downgrade a project made in v2.x to v1.2.x?
If when we try open a project made in EcoStruxure Machine Expert v2.x in EcoStruxure Machine Expert v1.2.x we saw this message "The specified project could not be loaded..." :
We will need to make a small modification on the original project made in EcoStruxure Machine Expert v2.x:
1) Open your project in EcoStruxure Machine Expert v2.x.
2) Go to "Project" in the task bar
3) Select "Project Settings.."
4) In the "Project Settings" window we need to go to "Security"
5) If the project was created with this version of the software then by default the security is in "Integrity Check" and the project may be incompatible to open in older version of the software. We need to change it to "No protection".
6) Save the project.
7) open the project in EcoStruxure Machine Expert v1.2.x
Note 1 : It is probably that the libraries that you were using in the v2.x are different in v1.2.x so you will need to make some manual changes on the older version.
Note 2 : We always recommend to use the latest version of the software.
