With regards to using ATV71 / ATV61 chokes with ATV600 / 900 drives, Generally speaking, the answer is 'No, you can't re-purpose the ATV71 dv/dt filters for the ATV600 / 900'.
Below is descriptive of a 15kW drive as an example.
The old and new motor chokes are totally different.
Firstly, with the old choke, it is simply a L (Inductor) circuit with an inductance value of 80µH for the VW3A5103.
New one is a LC circuit. They are more efficient than the older choke.
Inductance value is 180µH and capacitor value is 0.087µF for the VW3A5304 (dvdt filter for ATV630C15N4).
The new dvdt filter allows to reach 500 meters unshielded cable with 1000V/µs maximum while old motor choke allows to reach 200 meters with 750V/µs max.
Secondly, yes ATV630D15N4 can run with 150m shielded cable and 300m unshielded cable BUT at this length cable we have high dvdt and overvoltage level.
With 120 meters SWA cable (we can compare this cable with shielded cable), we also have risk to get overvoltage and high dv/dt on the motor terminal.
This may lead a motor heat and reduce the lifetime.
We advise at this length cable to use the option dv/dt filter in our catalog VW3A5304.
Finally, we can not ensure correct performance if the customer uses the old motor choke with the ATV630D15N4.
We have not carried out any tests for this and as such it would be 'undocumented'. We can't say for certain what will happen.
We don't recommend to use the old chokes with the modern drive.
