Do Isobar/Isobar P board require EMC certification?
Isobar/ IsobarP series distribution boards are exempt from requirements for EMC testing due to the nature of the product.
The Isobar/ IsobarP series distribution boards are suitable for category ‘Environment B’ according to BSEN 61439-1:2011– Annex J - Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
The Isobar/ IsobarP series distribution boards do not incorporate any electronic circuits. According to BSEN 61439-1:2011 clause J.9.4.3.2 ASSEMBLIES incorporating electronic circuit
This is also the same for powerpact 4 Boards
Under normal service conditions, ASSEMBLIES not incorporating electronic circuits are not sensitive to electromagnetic disturbances and therefore no immunity tests are required.
