EcoStruxure Power Operation: How to expose the custom trend tag in ETL so that it will extract trend data from EPO and load it in PME SQL DB or in other file formats?

Issue

From ETL v6.2 I am unable to extract the EPO/PSO custom tag historical trend data using ETL tool.

Environment

Power SCADA Operation (PSO) 2020 With ETL v6.2

EcoStruxure Power Operation (EPO) v2021 / v2022 With ETL v6.2

Cause

This is a known issue prior to ETL v6.2. However, from this version for custom tags we need additional configuration which is explained in Resolution section.

Resolution

When configuring ETL Job > PSO Extract task make sure to set Include Custom Topics In Mapping Operations = True
ETL_1

After this follow the normal process to configure remaining part of task. Above step will help ETL tool to load the custom tags while Loading Sources in “Mappings” tab of the tool.
But to extract historical trend data from EPO DB, then you may need to create the custom Topics.xml file as per below screen cap (also sample file attached with this article) and place it in ETL install folder [the default location ‘C:\Program Files\Schneider Electric\ETL (PowerSCADA)’] and configure all the custom tags as per below example.
ETL_2
Note:LegacyTopicID must be unique negative number.
Have a look in to attached example Topics.xml file for more info.
