Schneider Electric relies on the partnerships with our suppliers to deliver the highest quality goods and services. We believe that supplier diversity brings strength to our supply chain management and enhances the economic growth for all communities. The Schneider Electric Supplier Diversity Program reflects our organization’s culture and customers where we live and work.

Schneider Electric Diversity and Inclusion

In harmony with our Schneider Electric Diversity and Inclusion policy, our Supplier Diversity program strives to identify, include and engage qualified diverse suppliers to support our goals and provide a level of excellence to all stakeholders.

What makes us really different? We believe in people. We believe in partnerships and growing our business together. We believe that sustainability is at the core of strategy: environment, ethics, social responsibility, and community engagement are at the top of our agenda.

Schneider Electric is committed to quality, service and innovation. Our Supplier Diversity Program is designed to build business relationships with integrity. We are committed to diversity and will do business with the "best" regardless of ethnic, racial or social, gender, disabled persons, and veteran background.

Who Qualifies as a Diverse Supplier?

At Schneider Electric, we believe that strengthening the minority business community contributes to the overall economic growth and expansion of our markets. Therefore, it is Schneider Electric's policy to provide minority and women-owned businesses an equal opportunity to compete with all other suppliers in the marketplace.

Schneider Electric is in constant pursuit of qualified Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Veteran (VET), Minority-Owned Enterprise (MBE), Women-Owned Enterprise (WBE), and Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone) suppliers that provide quality products and services at competitive prices. Schneider Electric also acknowledges that each minority and/or woman-owned business must be 51% owned, controlled or operated by a person of female gender or one of the following ethnic groups: African American, Asian-Indian American, Native American, Asian-Pacific American, Hispanic American.

Diverse suppliers guidelines can be referenced by visiting the Small Business Administration website.

Supplier Review Process

The Schneider Electric Supplier Database is used as a reference system by the purchasing department to identify potential diverse suppliers.

Perspective suppliers will be required to successfully complete the Schneider Electric internal Supplier Auditing process. Our Supplier Development team reviews all suppliers in the areas of supplier diversity validation: diversity spend, financial status indicators, operational product performance and service capabilities and, if applicable, verifying your business’ diversity and/or small business status. Perspective suppliers must agree to and operate under Schneider Electric’s recognized guidelines including but not limited to:

           • Sustainability
           • ISO 26000 - Social Responsibility - ISO

Any concerns about this arrangement can be addressed to Rosa Valdez Parks.

What to Expect

The Schneider Electric Supplier Diversity program provides companies owned and operated by minorities, women, veterans, and people with disabilities an equal opportunity to join us in meeting the needs of our customers and growing our business. Upon review of your company profile’s match to a business need, you will be contacted by a commodity representative to provide additional information and undergo a formal supplier review.

Selected suppliers are expected to successfully complete a Schneider Electric Supplier Audit and have the ability meet predetermined supplier performance metrics. Your company designation as a qualified and certified diverse supplier affords you the opportunity to be included in procurement activities. We look forward to partnering with you, and we welcome you to be considered for participation in our Supplier Diversity initiative.
