Where can information regarding the heat contribution or heat loss of a low voltage dry type transformer be obtained?

Issue:
Transformer Heat Contribution

Product Line:
LV Transformers

Environment:
Products sold in North America

Cause:
Transformers produce different amounts of heat in operation

Resolution:
Heat contribution information can be obtained from LVGP Product Marketing/Support. If the full load losses of the Transformer are known, then the heat contribution at full load can be obtained by multiplying the loss in watts time 3.414 to yield BTU/hr. If the information is critical, it should be requested each time from Product Marketing as Transformer designs are subject to change without notice.

Example: From the typical performance data sheet, which is also obtained from Product Marketing/Support, the full load losses of an  EE30T3H is shown to be 1,303 watts. Multiplying by 3.414 yields a heat contribution at full load for the EE30T3H to be 4,448 BTU/hr.
