I received a replacement control station plate for my Model 6 LVMCC unit, but the latch on the control station plate does not line up with the latch pin. Is this the correct control station plate?

Yes, in May 2000 there was a manufacturing change to the Model 6 control station plate.  The new control station plate can be used on pre-May 2000 Model 6 units by using the Control Station Plate Latch Pin Retrofit Kit, part number 80420-893-50.  See the document link for the installation instruction bulletin on the retrofit kit.
