How can we help you today?
How do you properly interpret the primary and secondary voltage relationships of a triple rated Industrial Control Transformer?
Issue:
Triple rating of Industrial Control Transformers

Product Line:
LV Transformers

Environment:
Applies to Industrial Control Transformers by SquareD/Schneider Electric

Cause:
Voltage input levels of Industrial Control Transformers

Resolution:

Refer to pages 6 and 7 of the 9070 Type T and TF Industrial Control Transformer catalog (9070CT9901), and you`ll see that the D1, D31, D24, D5, D32, D95, D50, D65, and D12 voltage codes are triple rated. Triple rated units are those with common ratios that are rated for full VA capacity at lower applied voltages. For example, the D1 is nominally a 240 x 480 to 120 volt unit (2:1 or 4:1 ratio). Using those same ratios, you can also utilize the unit at 230 x 460 to 115, and 220 x 440 to 110, without sacrificing VA capacity. The same is true for the other triple rated voltage codes.
