How do I select a Buck Boost Transformer for a direct-connected motor load?

Issue:
Selection of Buck Boost Transformers for Motor Loads

Product Line:
LV Transformers

Environment:
Applies to Buck and Boost Transformers by SquareD/Schneider Electric

Cause:
Motor Loads can have high inrush or Locked Rotor Current when starting

Resolution:
Buck Boost units can be sized based on the full load current and voltage differential. Since the impedance presented to the circuit by the Autotransformer connection is low, a locked rotor current condition will not cause a large IZ voltage drop across the Transformer(s).
