Resolution:
The "S" suffix in ATV212HD22N4S stands for Slim Version. This model has a more compact physical design and reduced dimensions compared to the standard ATV212HD22N4.
Because of its smaller enclosure size, the ATV212HD22N4S has different thermal characteristics. To maintain reliable operation, the drive is limited to a 6 kHz switching frequency for continuous operation at 40°C ambient temperature.
Additionally, the compact design results in higher power dissipation at nominal current compared to the standard ATV212HD22N4. As a result, special attention should be given to installation conditions, ventilation requirements, and derating considerations.
