How to select a circuit breaker to install into an existing panelboard or switchboard?
Issue:
Determining catalog number of breaker
Product Line:
Panelboards, Switchboards
Environment:
NQ, NF,I-Line, Speed-D, QED2,
Cause:
Adding additional or replacing
Resolution:
Use the record drawings to verify the equipment type, system voltage, and equipment short circuit rating. Another option would be to verify existing circuit breaker catalog numbers, voltage ratings, and short circuit ratings Another option is to get the system voltage rating and AIC from the labels on the equipment. Which will list the system voltage on the equipment nameplate and should list the short circuit rating behind a cover. Otherwise, turn to drawings in the Windchill or ODM+ tools to find the equipment details.
