How can I configure an ATV312 drive for forward and reverse using a ±10 V speed reference?

Resolution:

This setup allows you to control both direction (forward/reverse) and speed using a single analog input signal ranging from +10 V to -10 V. Positive voltage commands forward rotation, while negative voltage commands reverse rotation.

Follow these steps to configure the drive:

  1. Assign the speed reference:

    • Set parameter FR1 (Reference Channel 1) to AI2 in the CTL (Control) menu.
  2. Wire the analog input:

    • Connect the ±10 V signal between AI2 and COM on the drive.
  3. Operation:

    • Positive voltage (+) → Forward direction
    • Negative voltage (-) → Reverse direction
    • The voltage level determines the speed in each direction.

This configuration enables bi-directional control using a single analog signal input, simplifying wiring and control logic.
