Access the official Schneider Electric Panelboards, Switchboards, and Switchgear support directory for NQ, NQOD, QO/QOB, and Surgelogic ranges. This technical hub provides immediate answers on QOB-VH main breakers, 125A branch circuits, and copper neutral options. Streamline your power distribution assets with expert guidance on service entrance criteria, NQMB2HJ kits, and NEMA 4X enclosures
Add form KE to the standard MH catalog number.Example: MH35KE
NOTE: This option is not available on MH boxes deeper than 5.75 inches or wider than 20 inches.
A bag of 15 one pole blank fillers is supplied with NQ interiors with 18, 30 and 42 circuits. Two bags, a total of 30, of one pole blank fillers is supplied with 72 and 84 circuit interiors.
We Suggest the NQSFB2Q ( takes the powerpact Q frame breaker) or the NQSFB2HJ ( takes powerpact H or J frame breaker).
>Specifications occasionally require 100% copper neutrals, often in combination with other 100% copper current carrying interior components.Field installable 100% copper neutral kits are for NQ panelboards with 20 inch wide boxes only. The neutral assemblies for NQ panelboards with 14 inch wide and column width enclosures are of a different design, and there is not a 100% copper neutral kit for them.
For the 100A rated interiors in 20 inch wide enclosures use 100% copper neutral kit NQN1CU.For the 225A rated interior in 20 inch wide enclosures use 100% copper neutral kit NQN2CU.For the 400A and 600A interiors, 100% copper neutral kit NQN6CU can be used, except in applications requiring 600A rated interiors equipped with sub-feed lugs, feed-thru lugs or sub-feed circuit breaker(s): for these specific applications, the NQN6CU is incompatible.
The NQB Panel and the ML Series branch breakers used in them are obsolete and no longer available.
Existing box studs are not used in Square D Retrofit offering. The existing box studs can be removed. End users/Contractors need to attach the interior mounting rails to the back wall of the existing box with any fastening means they see fit.
Bag assembly part number is 80104-909-50 includes (18) trim screws. Tinn. fasteners (black clips) are not required for mounting this trim.
Per Instructin Bulletin 80043-725-02, NQMB2HJ includes main breaker deadfront cover, main breaker mounting pan, two deadfront support brackets, two 10-32 x 7/16`` tapping screws, six 10-32 x 5/16`` tapping screws, two 8-32 x 3-1/4`` tapping screws, three 1/2-20 x 7/8`` tapping screws, terminal kit S37444 for main breaker catalog number beginning with H, terminal kit S37445 for main breaker catalog number beginning with J, three hard bus connectors, one `Main` breaker label.
This kit comes with six main crimp lugs, two neutral crimp lugs, three crimp lug pads, three crimp lug pad doublers, three keps nuts, ten 1/4-20 x 7/8`` tapping screws.
The maximum is 54. Code limits the % of gutter that can be filled by pigtails. Exceeding 54 per panel exceeds maximum % gutter fill.
Changes to requirements forarc fault protection of some circuits has resulted in greater need for CAFI branch breakers. In the past a large proportion of these circuit breakers in an NQpanelboard necessitated a double panel. This is no longer the case.
Yes, an engineering change now allows for (42)QOB120CAFI to be installed in a single section NQ panelboard.
The neutral pigtails of the branch breakers will be spliced as needed in order for the panelboard to accommodate all of the branch devices in a single section panelboard.
No, just to Main lugs interiors on the main lugs end. Center locate the main breaker interior in the box and get a custom trim.
The NEMA 4X Stainless steel boxes have welded seams. NEMA 3R boxes are not welded but are sealed .
UL Service Entrance applications require barriers to limit the risk of inadvertent contact with exposed energized parts. In NQ 100A (and 225A) Panelboards, this is provided by HJQLLC line lug covers installed over PowerPact H, J, or Q frame main breakers. There currently are no covers for QOB or QOB-VH branch mounted main breakers suitable for UL Service Entrance applications in NQ panelboards.
Space is not restricted from Schneider or Schneider products. It is the customer responsibility to ensure that the 6 disconnect rule is not violated.
The Service entrance, torque and wiring label can be found on the backside of the branch breaker deadfront.
The connection from QBL, QDL, QGL and QJL main breakers is a cable connection since the lugs on the Q frame are not removeable.Powerpact H frame, Powerpact J frame and all L frame main breakers are bus connected. On factory assembled panels only.
NQ, NF, I-line, and QMB Panelboards are available with mounting channel/feet as a factory assembled option only. N3R I-line and QMB are not available with mounting feet.
You use a 2 pole main breaker if you are back feeding the main but if you are using a main breaker kit then you use a 3 pole main.
As the breaker is not specifically labelled with Line and Load marking, you can feedthe power intoeither side.
QOB3125VH takes six pole spaces and limits anything mounted opposite to 40A branch breaker maximum. No mounting kit is required.
Old Integral (Internally mounted)TVSSdevices required up to 18" ofextra box height to install in panelboards, but the SurgeLogic SPD does not require additional enclosure height to mount.
The SurgelogicSPDrequires12 single pole spaces , 6 on each side, in NQ Panelboard interiors. Since 42 circuit and 54 circuit interiors require the same box size , ordering athe 54 circuit interior allows you to keep the 42 circuits and have the branch mounted SPDtaking the remaining 12 spaces. This allows the original 42 circuit amount of branch breakers needed as well as the integrated Surgelogic TVSSSPDDevice to be mounted in the same height box.
A maximum of (1) one branch device over 110A may be installed on 400/600A panelboards in non-vented applications (NEMA 3R, 12, 4, 4X, etc.)
SK5668 is the bus finger or panelboard connector kit for use when replacing a Q1B branch in an NQOB panel. The kit will accept QOB breakers. This is a 3 pole kit with A, B, and C phase connectors. In a 225 amp NQOB interior, this kit will allow you to mount 6 poles of breakers whether they are 1 pole, 2 pole, or 3 pole breakers. In a 400/600 amp NQOB interior, this kit will allow you to mount 3 poles of breakers whether they are 1 pole, 2 pole, or 3 pole breakers.
Yes. This can be accomplished by rotating the interior 180 degrees.
NOTE: Deadfront labels will be upside down.
All spare parts for NQOD Panelboards are obsolete with no replacement.
Conduit or bend pide cannot be placed through the wire bending space. Boxes are not rated to run conduits through. The wire bending space is only designed to run wire through it.
If just the main neutral line lug is needed order 80122-136-50. If an entire replacement neutral is needed order NQN2CU.
Note: 80122-136-50 is an Interplant part number. Please contact your Local Square D Sales Representative for more information.
Use an LP9502 for NQOD vented trims manufactured after July 1994. For NQOD vented trims manufactured prior to this date use LP9501.
