How can we help you today?

How can I troubleshoot a bLF fault on an Altivar 312 or Altivar 31?

Resolution:

A bLF fault indicates that the brake release current was not reached.

To troubleshoot this fault:

  • Check the drive-to-motor wiring connections.
  • Verify the condition of the motor windings.
  • Review the [Brake release I FW] (Ibr) setting in the [APPLICATION FUNCT.] (FUn-) menu and ensure it is configured correctly for the application.
  • Verify and apply the recommended settings for [Brake engage freq] (bEn).

If the fault persists, inspect the motor and brake system for any conditions that could prevent the required brake release current from being achieved.
