How to troubleshoot a gap or space around the main breaker deadfront Knockout for a NQ 225A and below, main breaker panel, using a NQMB2HJ main breaker kit?

Issue:
A gap or space around the main breaker deadfront Knockout for a NQ 225A and below, MB panel, using a NQMB2HJ main breaker kit

Product Line:
Panelboard main breaker kit

Environment:
NQMB2HJ

Cause:
space or gap around the deadfront knockout for a NQMB2HJ

Resolution:
Please see the picture below for a reference of the issue. See the attachment for the drawing of the main breaker deadfront.
1. Make sure you have the correct main breaker kit NQMB2HJ
2. If the panel is a single phase panel, you must use a 3 pole HDL,HGL,HJL, HLL, JDL,JGL.JJL or JJL breaker and wire the outside poles for the single phase application.
2. If the panel is 3 phase, make sure there is a 3 pole main breaker installed.
3. If all of the above is correct, make sure the deadfront has the following dimensions. Knockout dimensions are 4.76" x 4.322"  and overall  dimensions are 19.050" x 12.330"
See attached drawing.
4. If the dimensions are not the same, replace the deadfront with part number NQRPLMB2HJ.
5. If there is still an issue, please contact your purchaser/distributor and have them work direct with the local Square D project manager for further assistance and resolution.
A return/replacement may be required.
