How to update a Quantum firmware when the PLC contains a protected application?

When updating a Quantum firmware with OS Loader , if the PLC contains a protected application,  a password is requested.
Using the password of the protected application does not work, the only way to do this updade, is to download first in the PLC an unprotect application.
The protected application should be redownloaded after the update of the firmware.
