This is an overview of a typical configuration of ClearSCADA Mobile. Please refer to FA314093 for more information about each component and to FA280493 for information about the most common issues faced during configuration of ClearSCADA Mobile.

ClearSCADA Mobile Server:

• Installed separately from the same installation media as the rest of ClearSCADA
• Requires Internet Information Services (IIS) feature to be installed. IIS will be installed and configured automatically during installation of ClearSCADA Mobile
• Configured and licensed from ClearSCADA Mobile Configurator
• To configure:
  • Launch ClearSCADA Mobile Configurator and apply your ClearSCADA Mobile license
  • Add a system
  • Add at least one device to the system- The Device ID is displayed by your Mobile Application
  • Add the user to the device - the user added must exist in the ClearSCADA database

ClearSCADA Mobile Companion:

• Configured from ClearSCADA Configuration: Server Configuration -> System Configuration -> Mobile
• To Configure:
  • Select "Mobile Server Enabled"
  • Specify the IP address or the Server Name of the machine hosting ClearSCADA Mobile Server - "localhost" can be used if ClearSCADA Mobile Server is hosted by the same machine running ClearSCADA Server
  • Specify the System Name in the Local Server section - System Name specified here must match System Name specified in ClearSCADA Mobile Configurator
  • Apply changes

ClearSCADA Mobile Application:

• Enter the connection string of the server hosting ClearSCADA Mobile Server - it may be a URL, IP Address or Server Name depending on your configuration
