Can a vertically mounted main breaker in an I-line panelboard be replaced?

Resolution:
You may ONLY replace a vertically mounted main breaker in an I-line panelboard with the same model breaker.  For example, the MAP36600 is obsolete and could NOT be replaced by a current series M-frame like the MGP36600.  Consider replacing the panelboard.
