Why does the ATV312 speed potentiometer work in reverse (CW decreases speed)?
Resolution:
If the speed potentiometer operates in the opposite direction—where turning the knob clockwise (CW) decreases motor speed instead of increasing it—the potentiometer wiring is reversed.
To correct this:
- Swap the +10 VDC wire with the COM (common) wire on the potentiometer.
This will restore the expected behavior so that turning the potentiometer clockwise increases motor speed.
