Resolution:
To configure the ATV340 for 2-wire control:
- From the Main Menu, select Complete Settings.
- Navigate to Command and Reference.
- Select 2/3-Wire Control.
- Set the control mode to 2-Wire Control (2C).
After enabling 2-wire control, you can select the desired 2-Wire Type:
- Transition Control (default)
- Level Control
Understanding the 2-Wire Control Types
Transition Control
- The drive must be powered up before a run command is issued.
- If a run input is already active when power is applied, the drive will not start until the command is cycled.
Level Control
- The drive starts whenever a valid run command is present.
- If the run command remains active during power-up, the drive will automatically start when power is restored.
- If no run command is active, the drive remains in RDY (Ready) status until a run command is received.
Level Control may cause the motor to restart automatically after a power cycle or power restoration if the run command remains active. Verify that this behavior is safe and appropriate for your application before enabling this control mode.
