For standby generator with ATS, does the ATS wire into the power distribution block in the Energy Center?

Resolution:
If there is no battery backup system, the PDB can be used to wire an ATS to provide either whole house or partial house backup. If there is a battery backup system, then the isolation relay for that system will have used the PDB connections already. In that case, a standby generator will have to use the ATS and generator controls built into the backup interface for the battery backup system.
