Upgrading M580 Safety to 3.20 causes SDI and SDO failure

Issue

After upgrading the M580 Safety CPU to version 3.20 the BMXSDI1602 and BMSDO0802 IO modules went into failure.

Resolution

When using BMECRA31210 modules along with CPUs having 3.20 or greater firmware, the CRA must be at version 2.60 minimum.
