What’s the difference between VT5A and VT5B?

Issue:
Differences between VT5A and VT5B

Product Line:
Masterclad MV Metal-Clad Switchgear

Environment:
Application

Resolution:
The trucks are very similar; there are 2 major differences. First, the cover for the VT5A is notch in both upper corners at 45 degrees. The intent of this notch is to allow clearance of the door bundle when withdrawing the truck in the upper position. Second, the rear contacts are angled differently; the VT5A’s contacts are straight back while the VT5B’s contact are angled up at 45 degrees. For additional details, please refer to VT drawer outline drawing in MySchneider or contact your Sales contact.
