Yes, the only impact that the installation of 175 A and 200 A QO(VH) branch circuit breakers in 400 A and 600 A NQ single phase panelboards has upon the selection of sub-feed circuit breakers is their impact upon the total circuit breaker ampacity installed in the panelboard. Please consult installation requirements of the local authority having jurisdiction to understand if to total ampacity of branch circuit breakers may exceed the mains rating of the panelboard.
