Are trip units for Powerpact H, J, and L circuit breakers replaceable?

Resolution:
Trip units for Powerpact H, J, and L can be replaced unless they have been sealed at the factory.

• All I-Line breakers in this range have sealed trip units and are NOT replaceable.  I-Line breakers all have the letter "A" in the third position in the catalog number
  • for example, HJA36100U31X.
• Unit mounted circuit breakers may be purchased with sealed or replaceable trip units
  • Breakers with replaceable trip units have a "T" in the catalog number immediately following the Ampere rating,
    • for example, HJA36100TU31X or HGA36100T
  • Breakers with sealed trip units will have no T in the catalog number in this position,
    • for example, HJA36100U31X or HGA36100

Check the current edition of the Square D Supplemental Digest or catalog numbers related to replaceable trip units.
