How can you setup a custom display to show temperature or pressure as the PID setpoint on the ATV212 Drives?
Resolution:
You can configure the ATV212 drive's custom display to show process values such as temperature or pressure as the PID setpoint. The example below demonstrates how to display a temperature range of 32°F to 124°F.
Example Configuration
-
Calculate the minimum display value:
- Minimum temperature: 32°F
- Formula: 32 ÷ 1.5 (F702) = 21.33
- Set F706 = 21.33
-
Configure the following parameters:
- Verify the maximum display value:
- Temperature span: 122°F - 32°F = 90°F
- Adjusted span: 90 - 21.33 = 68.67
- Formula: (68.67 × 1.5) + 21.33 = 124°F
Result
After completing the configuration, the drive's display allows the PID setpoint to be adjusted using the Up and Down keys. The displayed setpoint range will be approximately 32°F to 124°F.
Note: The display shows only the numeric value. Units such as °F, PSI, or other engineering units are not displayed.
