Using Pick Action For "Change Main Server" Action

This Pick Action can be used to switch between servers for users in ViewX with restricted  database access. Administrators may need a simple and secure way to switch between servers—especially during or after a failover event. The Pick Action feature provides a streamlined solution for this scenario. With a single button click, the Pick Action presents a list of available servers. Users can then select the desired server from the list, enabling quick and controlled server switching without requiring elevated database permissions

• Create a new mimic and create a button from the Graphical tab in ViewX.
• Double click the button to display “Button Properties” dialog.

• Click the “Pick Action” button.

• From the Pick action configuration, select “Method” and click “Next”

• Click the ellipsis on the right and locate root explorer.
• Beside “Method” select from the drop-down list “Change Main Server” and click “Next”.
• Click “Next” button twice and “Finish”.
• Save changes and place in “Run Mode”.
