What is the difference between a trim with outer door lock and a standard lock that comes with hinged panel covers?

Product Line:
Panelboards

Environment:
Panel Trim

Cause:
Alternative part to offer for hinged trim with outer door lock (ODL) that is not available in stock.

Resolution:
A hinged cover with outer door lock has a lock added to the outer left edge of the mat to lock the entire trim against the box flange. To put it simply, a standard Hinged Trim has a lock on the inner door while the one with ODL has a corresponding lock on the outer mat just to the left edge.
