When using the LU9GC3, if any of the drive's go offline, will it take out all the drives on the network?

Using an LU9GC3, which is an 8 port Modbus Hub, if any of the drives go offline it does not take out the rest of them.

This includes the ATV212. This Hub does not do Daisy chain. It is more of a star formation.
