PowerChute Network Shutdown ESXi host shutdown failed for vSAN standard cluster with Skip Maintenance mode enabled.

Issue:
ESXi host PowerChute Network Shutdown is running on failure to shutdown when configured for vSAN, and enabling Skip Maintenance mode has been selected.

Product:
PowerChute Network Shutdown version 5.x

Environment:
PowerChute deployed onto a vSAN datastore.
VMWare ESXi 7.x or 8.x

Cause:
The PowerChute shutdown delay is set to high.

Solution:
Edit the pcnsconfig.ini file and change the shutdown command duration to 0 (zero) seconds.

Default configuration
[Shutdown]
shutdownCommand =
shutdownCommandDuration = 60

After the change
[Shutdown]
shutdownCommand =
shutdownCommandDuration = 0
