What is the maximum string size for the inverter MPPT strings?
The maximum string voltage must not exceed 600VDC. The voltage of a solar array increases as ambient temperature decreases so care must be taken to account for this voltage rise and the string sized to accommodate the LOWEST expected temperate of the site. The maximum short circuit rating of the modules on an MPPT channels must not exceed 16 amps. We recommend that you refer to the Schneider Inverter data sheet and take our Solar Design Certification training to help determine the appropriate string length.
