How do I update the firmware of my Smart-UPS Ultra 5 - 10kW?
Issue:
Smart-UPS Ultra UPS models feature user update-able UPS Firmware.
This allows for ongoing improvements, feature enhancements, and cyber-security remediation of Smart-UPS Ultra products after deployment.

Note: We recommend to always keep your UPS up to date with the latest UPS Firmware
Follow the steps below to update the UPS firmware via the Network Management Card web interface, or command line interface, or using a USB flash drive.

IMPORTANT: For Smart-UPS Ultra models with ID 1226 & 1227, the firmware of the Network Management Card must be updated to version 2.5.4.4 or later before updating the UPS firmware. Refer to FA156047 to update the firmware of the Network Management Card.
Note: always download the latest NMC firmware for SUCAN application from se.com:
- Perform a Logic Reset or "Brain Dead" on the UPS. Refer to FAQ000267847.
- Update the UPS firmware via any of the supported methods:

- Important: The UPS output must be turned off before initiating the firmware update.
- Important: The UPS must be connected to AC input before starting, and during the firmware update process.
