Resolution:
- There is no Linux runtime license for EcoStruxure Machine SCADA Expert (EMSE).
- EMSE can only run on Schneider Electric’s Harmony Edge Box HMI (Linux‑based, part number HMISTM6BOXIOT).
Details:
- Harmony Edge Box HMI includes a runtime (500 tags). If additional tags are needed, you can upgrade by purchasing an upgrade runtime license.
- EMSE does not run on generic Linux systems. It is supported only on Schneider’s Linux-based HMI IoT Box.
- For standalone Linux runtime, AVEVA Edge may be an alternative since it offers a dedicated Linux license.
