Resolution:
First make sure the .NET framework is installed and active on your machine
Method 1 — Check via Windows Features
- Press Windows Key + R
- Type:
- Optional features
- Press Enter
- In the Windows Features window, look for:
- “.NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)”
- Status meanings:
- Checked → Installed
- Unchecked → Not installed
- Filled box → Partially installed
Method 2- Check using Command Prompt

Open Command Prompt

Run this command:
BAT
If .NET 3.5 is installed, you will see a Version entry like:
Version REG_SZ 3.5.30729
Method 3- PowerShell Command
Open PowerShell and run:
Look for:
- Installed → It’s on your system
- Available → Not installed, but can be enabled
Method 4- Check the File System
Look for this folder:
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\
If the folder exists → .NET 3.5 is installed.
If it is not installed please go to the windows site here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=25150
If it is unchecked, please check it. It might ask permission to update and download new files to complete the installation. Please allow it
After it is done, reboot and check the feature again.
Now you should be able to install the software with no further issues
