What are some of the installation errors when upgrading to SoMove 2.11, and how can I fix them?

Resolution:
When upgrading to SoMove 2.11, you may encounter installation warnings caused by components (such as CANopen DTMs) left over from an older SoMove version. These messages are expected and can be safely handled by following the steps below.

Before You Start:
Disconnect your SoMove cable from the PC.
Close all running instances of SoMove.


Installation Steps:

1.- Launch the SoMove 2.11 installer.

2.- During installation, you may see a message indicating that some DTMs or another version of the product is already installed (for example, CANopen DTM) or that somo customizations are not permitted by software policy, as shown below.

3.- Click OK to continue.

4.- When prompted with a confirmation message, select NO to resume the installation.

5.- Once installation is done, click Finish to complete the installer.

After Installation

  • Open SoMove. On the first launch, the DTM catalog will update automatically.
  • Reconnect your SoMove cable.
  • Perform a test connection to an available drive to confirm proper operation.

Once these steps are completed, SoMove should function normally.
