Launched SoMachine-Basic and received the error: Somachine basic gateway service is not running. How does one fix this?

Issue:
After launching SoMachine-Basic, an error message appears:
"SoMachine basic gateway service is not running."
How does one fix this?

Product Line:
Modicon M221, TM221, SoMachine Basic
(This does not apply to EcoStruxure Machine Expert-Basic

Environment:
PLC Programming Software for Windows

Resolution:
To resolve the issue:
1) Go to Windows Control Panel -> Services (or Run "services.msc")
2) Start the "SoMachine Basic Gateway".
