Would like to know if a drive will automatically detect and use a keypad when connected
Resolution:
Yes, the currently-used keypads with part numbers VW3A1101 and VW3A1111 are 'plug-n-play'. In other words, when you connect the appropriate keypad to an Altivar drive, the drive should automatically detect the keypad. The keypad's LCD screen should display the drive's information almost immediately when connected. This is whether the keypad is plugged directly into the front of the drive or connected by ModBus cable.
