Resolution:
This is not recommended. The VW3A1113 will technically fit into the VW3A1112 mounting kit (clamshell); however, it does not clip in so there's nothing holding it in place. Also, there is a gap between the keypad and the mounting kit, which makes it lose its IP rating. The keypad does connect to a drive through the mounting kit, but the slightest jarring or turning of the keypad makes it lose connection. It's recommended to use the VW3A1114 mounting kit, which is designed for the VW3A1113 keypad.
